Founded by Maria Yna, a passionate home-based baker and cake decorator, Cakes by Maria Yna is a labor of love that blossomed from her family’s deep appreciation for homemade treats. Growing up surrounded by the comforting aroma of freshly baked goodies, Maria Yna developed a profound love for baking that has only grown over the years.

Maria Yna’s journey in the world of baking is marked by continuous learning and dedication. She completed the prestigious Caicakes Flower Piping Masterclass in April 2017 and has participated in numerous buttercream flower piping, cake decorating, and baking classes in Manila from 2016 to 2022. Her commitment to excellence was recognized in 2019 when she earned the title of 2nd Runner Up in the Buttercream Category at the Cake Fiesta Buttercream Cake Wars International Competition held at SMX MOA.

In her quest for culinary mastery, Maria Yna has expanded her skills through various specialized training programs. She completed a Croissant Pastry and Sourdough Donuts Culinary Experience at Enderun BGC in 2021 and recently participated in an International Masterclass on Sculpture Painting with Buttercream and Chocolate at Butter and Blossom Studio in Bangkok, Thailand, in June 2023.

With an unwavering commitment to her craft, Maria Yna has sought out one of the finest mentor in the industry to refine her skills. She has trained with renowned flower cake artists from South Korea, G.G. Cakraft and completed “Advanced Course” granted by Republic of Korea Flowercake Association held in Seoul Korea GGCakraft Studio on the 27 and 28th of September 2024. This dedication to excellence allows us to create stunning, one-of-a-kind cake designs that push the boundaries of traditional baking and craft.

Maria Yna is also actively engaged in her community, having served as a judge at the Aroroy Cake Fiesta in Masbate province and as a resource person during a kids’ cupcake decorating workshop at the Aroroy Sports Center in February 2024. Her dedication to sharing her skills and passion for baking is a testament to her commitment to the craft.
